Helping the Warming Center can be as simple as going through your pantry or office supplies to find extra items to donate!

Here are the items we always need:

  • Black or dark blue Sharpies or markers

  • Boots - winter or work boots

  • Bus tickets

  • Copy paper

  • File folders - plain and colored

  • Fast food gift cards (McDonalds, Taco Bell, etc,)

  • Gas vouchers from gas station/convenience store

  • Hi-Liters - any color

  • Name tags - peel and stick kind (red or blue border)

  • Napkins

  • Paper bowls suitable for holding hot soup

  • Paper plates

  • Paper towels

  • Plastic bags

    • 33 gallon plastic clear bags 

    • 13 gallon tie string bags 

    • 55 gallon black drum liners 

  • Plastic tableware

  • Post-it notes

  • Postage stamps

  • Styrofoam cups 10oz or 12oz

  • Underwear - new in package (men's and women's)

  • Printer cartridges

    • *HP 61XL Black & Tri Color

    • *Canon 1200 Black XL and Color XL

  • Food

    • Snacks -- non perishable pocket size, such as crackers & cheese, cookies, etc.

    • Donuts (please no bagels or other hard breads)

    • Muffins

    • Coffee

    • Cookies

    • Bottled Water

If you would like to donate time or services, here are some other ways you can help:

​

  • Church or building space for one shelter week

  • Hold a Casual Day at work for the benefit of The Warming Center

  • Send letter of support to us through our "contact" tab or to MCWC, 2 Crocker Blvd. Suite 201, Mt. Clemens MI 48043

  • Local Business - donate gift cards or prizes for our annual events

  • Choose the Warming Center as a beneficiary if you are participating in a charity walk or run.

  • Used Cars - donate to Charity Motors in our name: Macomb County Warming Center

  • If you Shop at Amazon and use our code. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase to the Warming Center. No cost to you.

  • If you shop at Kroger with a Kroger card, a portion of your purchase will be donated to us. You will need to go to Kroger.com or call Kroger at 1-800-576-4377 and tell them to add our charity to your card. (We are already listed with Kroger as an approved charity.)
